Madhya Pradesh

Day 152 -- Khajuraho
Tourists come to Khajurajo mainly for the temples and the exquisite erotic carvings on it. For me, I found myself landing in a land of harrasments, it wasn't a pleasant experience.
Which I do not which to eaborate. Am Blacklisting this place

Day 153 -- Leaving Khajuraho early in the morning by pre- arranged tuk tuk, I felt an immense sense of relief. ut bad news was to follow. I made it to the bus station at 9 am sharp and was told the 9o' clock bus was cancelled due to elections being held that has locked off some parts of the highway.

So ... i waited and waited and
had to answer numerous questions like
"Where are you from ?"
"Where are you going ?"
"Do you want buy some drinks?"

Bummer, I'm surprised I did not lose my temper and smile

Reached Orchha later than I expected, which means I have to stay one more night. But it was worth it because this is a beautifuk place with ancient ruins scattered all around, and totally blending in with today's India.

Saw a guy who went the same route as me from Khajuraho to orchha (except that he drove here), greeted each other and decided to go for beer. The beer wasn't good. And when I try to check the alcohol contents, the label reads "not exceeding 8% but exceeding 6%", so...what's that supposed to mean?

Anyway, the guy is from America, lost his job becauses of the financial crunch, and told me to go to Seattle to learn the business of coffee. Nice idea, worth considering.

Day 154 -- Orchha
Basically did te standard tourist thingy and baking under 40 degrees of heat. The palaces were not very huge or largely impressive, but they're still quite a sight as they dominate the skyline of tiny Orchha. There is nothing left of the former kingdom but just bare structures (I guess all the stuff are somewhere in a museum) but it was cooling to just walk around and enjoy the breeze.

Oh yes, and Mr America was staying in the posh hotel inside the palaces and invited me in to chill. Which I gladly accepted firstly for the air- con and secondly for TV. So I spent like a few hours glued to Fashion TV and got my brains stuffed with beautiful clothes that I have no means to buy.

Gonna leave Orchha soon. Tomorrow will be another ultra - long travelling day to Lucknow. Why does India have to be so big?

And today is also our 3rd anniversary, very happy that he called and we recalled a little of past events.
